Yes, drastically. Manuals for any electronic equipment, not just telecomm,
require sections on theory of operation, repair, and operation. Software
manuals usually require only the latter.

The more, the merrier. Busy engineers won't write the stuff for you, and
you wouldn't use it if they did.

No problem. In fact, most telecomm stuff has lots of software involved. Its
the hardware that may give you the problem.>

Unless you have a strong background in electronics, you might not want to
