Well...we single parents have a hard time scraping up an extra $5-$10 per
month, too! But, I believe this list is worth scrimping for.

I have to disagree here. If such an opportunity had been available to me
when I was a student, I would have jumped right on it. If you are serious
about your field, you want all of the real world information you can
possibly get - $5 or $10 shouldn't stand in your way. Drink a few less beers
one night or skip that cheeseburger and fries meal.

I would have paid the $5-$10 as a student and I will pay it now. And guess
what, I'm not even really a tech writer - I do web development.
