Laurel Scott asked,
"Does anyone know about techwriter groups who get together and network
in the
MidWest, preferably the Chicagoland area (although I am willing to
travel a
few hours, depending on the activity)?"
I'd be interested to know, too. I've been a member of some professional
organizations, but they're all Chicago-based. It's just too much of a
hassle to go to downtown Chicago to attend meetings. Some organizations
recognized this and started to hold meetings in the suburbs, but it was
always in the northwest suburbs, which is just as much of a hike for me.
I'm sure there are other tech writers in the western/southwestern
suburbs, if we can just find each other and get organized.
