As a technical writer/programmer writer/instructional designer, I too wanted
to learn about C++. As I'm sure you're well aware, there are lots of
resources available but few designed for students, a lament we can explore
later. For a great overview of object technology, see Object Technology: A
Manager's Guide by David A. Taylor. For a good C++ book that emphasizes
learning syntax and assessing C++ programs, see Visual C++ in 12 Easy
Lessons by Perry & Spencer.
Good luck finding something that meets your needs.

Subject: C++ Introduction Needed
Greetings!
I'd like to learn a (little) bit about C++. Not to "defect" to the other
side and become a programmer (:-]) but to have nice, introductory
knowledge about C++.
I'm looking for online, Web sources for some self-study. Any ideas?
PS #1 I have some programming exposure (extreeeemely basic, no pun
intended).
PS #2 I'm on digest, please CC me with responses.
Thanks to all in advance,
Debbie
