My favorite was a sign I saw in a Montana town during the early 80s when
the farm economy was in dire straights. Family farms were going bankrupt
and being replaced by giant agribusiness concerns.

The sign, of which I have a snapshot, spoke volumes:

Future Farmers of America, Custer Welcomes You!
