User Documentation Preferences [WAS: Frame & WWP vs Word & RoboHelp]

Judging from some of the responses I've received, I've come to the
conclusion that I didn't make myself clear when asking my
questions.

The BIG question, the one I really need some sort of backup on
(consensus opinion, research results, anecdotal evidence,
whatever . . . . ) is:

Do users really prefer to have on-line help files as their ONLY
source of application/program documentation?

If I can make the case against this, then I can more easily make
the case for using Frame/WWP for all documentation. After all, I'm
the one who is going to be doing all of the documentation (including
help files), so it should be my choice as to what I think the best
tool for the job is.

Again, thanks for any help y'all can provide.
