I plan to add it to my list of misheard/misinterpreted words and phrases
that make a kind of sense anyway. "For all intensive
purposes" is another one I've seen recently. I see "mute point" every once
in a while. "Low and behold" mostly just bugs me.

The worst part about these, from the perspective of a writer/editor, is that
most of them pass the spell checker--and many of them
make it past pretty decent editing, because they're so *almost* right.
