CopyeditingL is the place you want. Most of these questions, like the
serial comma, have been discussed many times. Search the archives first and
lurk awhile. Then ask specific questions as they come up. "CEL" does use
tags so be sure you use them as indicated here so you will get the proper
category.

Here's a master list of commands for you to file away!

Common commands you will need with the Indiana University Listserv server

Send all COMMANDS to: listserv -at- listserv -dot- indiana -dot- edu
Send all MESSAGES to: copyediting-l -at- listserv -dot- indiana -dot- edu

SUBSCRIBE OR UNSUBSCRIBE
subscribe copyediting-l [real name]
unsubscribe copyediting-l

DEFAULT SETTINGS
Digest - You will receive digests instead of individual messages.
Mail - You will receive mail.
Nomime - MIME codes will NOT be sent.
Repro - You will receive copies of your own messages.
Noindex - You will not receive an index.
Noack - The server will not send confirmation of your posts.
Subjecthdr - You will receive full headers with a subject tag.
Topics: ALL - You will receive all topics
NOTE: REPRO and NOACK may seem confusing. REPRO/NOREPRO sends (or doesn't
send) a full copy of your message to you. ACK/NOACK sends (or doesn't send)
a confirmation message indicating that your post has been processed.

RECEIVE AN INDEX LISTING

CHOOSE THE TYPE OF HEADER YOU PREFER
