The Inland Empire chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (IESTC)
in southern California would like to invite folks to their September 16th
dinner meeting featuring
Robert Rotstein speaking on "Copyright Law and You".

Clueless about when to use the (c) copyright symbol? Distressed because you
don't know
whether to use (tm) or (r)? Don't know what you can legally download from
the
Internet? Well, have we got a meeting for you! This month's IESTC meeting
will shine the light on everything you need to know about copyright law!

Topics covered will include the correct use of copyright symbols; copyright
law as it pertains to published material, intellectual property, graphics,
and sound (music, midi files, etc.); and other copyright issues facing us in
the 21st century. If you are involved in the web, you need to know how these
laws apply to you!

About the Speaker
Robert H. Rotstein is a partner in the Litigation Department in McDermott,
Will & Emery's Los Angeles office. Mr. Rotstein's focused practice areas are
general civil litigation, intellectual property, and entertainment
litigation.
Make your reservation online at <http://www.iestc.org/this_month.html>.
Hope to see you there!
