GERRIOR Suzanne <GERRIORS -at- iata -dot- org> asks whether there are macros
or batch commands to set security options on many PDF documents.

I believe that Acrobat comes with a developers kit, which can be
used to program such tasks.

There are also tools that can be purchased from third parties. I
purchased "Compose" from Ambia (http://www.ambia.com). This
tool includes a number of plugin utilities (that work within
exchange) to accomplish repetitive tasks - many of the tools work
with their batch tool - for example, the same security settings can
be applied to every file in a list. It is annoying to create the list of
files the first time, but you can save the list to reuse.
