In a software training manual, how should I format the text that users have
to enter? At the moment, we have:
Type "Report on Angle Model" in the <bold>Title</bold> box.
I don't like the quote marks, but I'm reluctant to use more bold - there's
probably too much bold on the page as it is. One option I have considered
is using a different font (Courier, for example). We already use Courier
in our Installation Guides, for blocks of code. Different audiences, I
know, but...
Has anyone any better ideas?
I hope this isn't one of those over-discussed topics that people bring up
all the time. I tried to search the archives but I couldn't come up with
helpful search terms.
