I've always thought that punctuated slogans made the sentiment seem less
important. Almost as if the quotation marks make it look like a joke--like
when you make the quotation mark gesture with your fingers to indicate that
what you're saying is pseudo-valid? It somehow seems more professional to
see banners with unpunctuated slogans--the statement seems stronger that
way.
