Interesting. Every file I distilled from Frame 7 and Distiller 4 gave me at
least a couple of errors, the links didn't always work, and other users had
problems printing them. And Frame has never prompted me to download
anything! I did download a patch from the Adobe web site that fixed a
problem with referenced TIFFs that were not appearing/printing correctly,
but I did that on my own prompting.

So did I.

Distiller

I can't remember whether I was prompted to upgrade Distiller, but if I was,
I chose not to. And for me, FM7 and Distiller 4.05 work fine together. The
only thing I cannot do is saving a FM file as PDF - but since I never did
so, I don't miss that feature. :-)
What startles me, though, is that FM tries to download something about
every second time I start it, and always fails.
