I didn't get the part about "writes his name on it".
Try this:
"Draw and sign each picture."
This eliminates the syntax error in the original post,
of misplacing the coordinating conjunction.
A coordinating conjunction ("and") links parts of a sentence that
have the same status*. Duh.
Are there really TWs out there who think that knowing your audience
is more important than knowing English grammar?
Am I in for a shock? :-) I understand that when writing a sitcom,
a movie or other fictions, one needs to inject slang into dialog.
But in TW? There must be someone who has been successful
at putting the cart before the horse? :-)
