When I have to include large bitmaps, I place them in a secondary window
then provide a link from the corresponding topic. The bitmap is easily
available but does not force the user to scroll to get the associated
information.

You probably won't like it, but yes I can. If you want undistorted bitmaps
in your online help, you'll have to leave the bitmaps full size instead of
reducing them. If you must reduce them, do not reduce them by more than 10
or 15 percent; they will still be distorted, but at least they'll be more
or
less legible.
