Anybody know how to use Snag It 32 to edit images?

You're badly misinformed. SnagIt, as the name suggests, is a screen
capture utility. Recent versions have some rudimentary editing
capabilities included, but those are for post-processing your captures,
not for editing existing graphics files.

To edit existing graphics files, you need a different application, not a
different version. SnagIt won't even open an existing graphics file for
editing -- that's not what it's for.
