Great link Tom. I had forgotten about that one.

The page neatly explains what has been the intended practice here for 
years. That each warning or caution needs to be written in three parts:
>>The other three components: the specific hazard, the probable 
consequence of involvement 
>>with the hazard, and how the hazard can be avoided are communicated 
through the word 
>>message and the optional use of a pictorial.
