Can't tell you how much I'm enjoying all this talk of getting older. I
will turn 50 on Monday (or not, as Tara noted).

It's not that the number bothers me so much as it just doesn't seem
possible! How can _I_ be turning 50? College wasn't _that_ long ago!

To give a slight TW spin, I'm told that as TWs get older, they can find
it harder to find new jobs, in part because they are paid more than
fresh young things right out of school. Guess HR doesn't always
recognize the benefits of experience and maturity, maybe because the HR
folks are so often themselves fresh young things...
