Usually I don't refer to it in documentation. I just say, "Click on the
+ to expand the [name] tree." But, in speaking, we call it a "plus"
("sign" is redundent).

Happy Friday!

Subject: "+" sign in a navigation tree

  Hi everyone...

What would be the "proper" term for the plus sign used to collapse or
expand the list in a navigation tree?

Is it just "the plus sign"? or is there something better? One of my QA
guys just asked me what it's called, and I couldn't even think of it.

 Happy friday,
 Kevin
