You cannot get back any attributes that aren't supported by the
format from hich you are converting.

JPEG images have certain attributes. When you convert from JPEG to
BMP, only the attributes supported by both incommon are carried over.

Whn you convert the BMP to TIF, only those TIF attributes that were
supported in the BMP are brought over.

The problem you have is that the JPEG, depending on the loss
percentage defined, is the worst format for retaining quality
attributes.
