Conducting Telephone Interviews

A real interview "stumper" is oten "Tell me about
yourself?"  Typically, interviewees take one of two
approaches in answering this one:

* The pet dog approach: "I am faithfull, honest,
people oriented, detail oriented, etc, etc."

* The laundry list approach: "I have a BA in
Journalism, I have five plus years of experience, I
know Framemaker, etc., etc."

It's all about marketing - and marketing, in its most
powerful form, is all about unique positioning.  My
answer to the question: "What distinguishes me as a TW
is my unique experiences utilizing leading-edge
structured writing techniques to properly organize
documentation for user friendlyness".
