and I see it as a not-very-good answer. To me, it shows that the
person has stayed in their comfort range and hasn't taken on any
really hard stuff.

To know what to do under those conditions is a skill and I want to
know that the person has that skill and won't fold like a deck of
cards the first time a really tough one comes along.
