Again, it's more important when motion is involved (video, OpenGL
previews, games, that sort of use). Some LCDs just can't change states
fast enough to keep up with rapidly changing material. This was never
an issue with CRTs, since every pixel had to be actively redrawn
anywhere from 60 to 115 times per second (depending on the refresh
rate you were using). For document design, it won't affect matters too
much--if your screen shot takes an extra 20 milliseconds to update
when you replace the image file, really, do you care? It's only when
the system is trying to update those pixels at 30+ frames per second
that you start to notice a problem.
