Restricting Output using a methodology or tool

Greetings,

  I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to work in
validation methods into the process of creating
content. I read "Adobe Systems Speaks Out on DITA:
Internal use of FrameMaker, CMS, and DITA" and thought
DITA or something like it is a good way to do this.
I'm not sure if DITA is right for us, can work for us,
etc.

  We were using RoboHelp to create our docs but moved
to the Confluence wiki. I'm not sure we can now try to
integrate more systems, buy more tools, etc. to make
something like this happen. 

  I guess I'm looking for something more like a
methodology that I can recommend. 

Our scenario:

A small team of developers often post articles, tips,
best practices, etc to our wiki knowledgebase, which
also houses our user manuals. 

We have a style guide but either no one knows about it
or they don't have the time to look through it while
writing something. 

Small development team is very busy and writing is on
the bottom of the priority list. 

In the end I may just have to edit the pages myself.
