How to...

Go figurr <sic>, a discussion. And thanks. Here's an off-the-cuff
suggestion, walk into the meeting with your best sad face and best pout and
say, "Can't we all just get along?" You can also suggest that the meeting
be "enhanced" with vodka on the company dime, but that could have unpleasant
consequences. Perhaps you (or the PM) can prepare a detailed outline of the
meeting and hire a comedian to deliver it. No telling where that will lead.
You can also replace keywords with other other words and provide a
dictionary to the meeting-goers so they can follow. Replace words like,
replace "user" with "felon," "product" with "drug," and "project management"
with "ulcers." Or do something funny.

Subject: RE: How to...
Lauren had good points (as did other contributors), but in this case, the
meeting in question involves the status of multiple projects, not just one,
and the expected result is revised timelines and resource allocations across
multiple projects and multiple departments that contribute to all those
projects, causing all to need accommodation and re-negotiation.
I was just looking for some cutesy or timeless text to pass along, but as is
often the case, I've stirred up a discussion. Imagine that on a discussion
list. :-)
