Hi all,

Thank you very much for your tremendous response. I have followed the thread
closely, and I have found a clear answer to my problem.
MS Word is ubiquitous and that is its main strength. However, it tries
to play too many roles at the same time. It is a Word processor, a wannabe
publishing tool, a tool for creating help files, an application for handling
graphics....and so on.....
With its plethora of features it loses focus on its primary functionality
and that I guess leads to the complications that we have discussed in these
columns.
The answer to my problem lies in breaking up the humongous doc into smaller
parts. Thank you all for leading me up to it.

Best

Raj
