Adobe Photoshop - Images

A good image format for screen captures? Not JPEG. Such as BMP, TIFF,
PNG, GIF, PSD, etc., depending on your output.

Line art? EPS is great (avoid the WMF preview), AI would be fine. WMF
has issues with curves, don't see many EMFs around, so don't know. Maybe
use SVG?

Images that include text? Well, anything that embeds fonts, so rasters
need not apply, use EPS or AI or something. Perhaps SVG? WMF and EMF
reference fonts, so I don't recommend those.

I'm always willing to learn something new.  Most of my graphics programs
offer a confusingly vast selection of file formats.  Can you suggest a
good alternative to jpg for the above images?
