IE7 has no back button in popups

I may be confused over what the original poster was complaining about, but
there is a difference between a popup and jumping to a new web page. In a
popup, there are no forward or back pages, there is just the popup;
therefore, there are no forward or back buttons. This is not a fault of IE7,
its common web design.

I use popups on some of my pages just to highlight particular items, or give
additional information, they are intended to be closed when the viewer is
done reading/viewing them. They are not to be used the same as a webpage.
Jumping to a different URL is different. If you jump to a new URL and there
are no navigation arrows, then the web developer designed it that way to
keep you from using his/her website as a jumping off point to navigate to
other sites, including competitors.
