Resume or CV

As far as I understand it a CV and a resume are equivalent though there
may need to be some tweaking. It's also a bit of a moving target with
lots of companies offering 'CV advice' - how best to structure it with
their version being the 'current' best layout :-)

The 'traditional-based' CV I use (and it's stood me in good stead over
the last 25+ years) has a number of standard heading:

Title:	CURRICULUM VITAE - <your name>

Personal Details:	Name and contact details

Education:	In the UK - 'O' and 'A' levels, Degree (list subjects
studied if relevant), Postgrad degree, etc. I tend to just list the
number of 'O' and 'A' levels (giving subjects for 'A' levels if
appropriate - rarely now as experience says it all)

Work Experience:	What, when, for whom + brief description of job,
e.g. Uer Guides for XXXX

Professional Qualification:	If appropriate, list membership of
societies etc

Skills:	Tools, Help, Ops Systems etc, tailored to job

Training courses/presentations:	Relevant courses I've attended,
presentations/articles I've written etc.

Extra curricular activities:	Rarely included now but 3/4 lines on
interests hobbies etc. This section is often left out now but was part
of the traditional CV and, for an intern job, MAY be worth including to
give a handle on the writer and a conversation starter if the Work
Experience isn't a big thing yet.

I also (sometimes!) include a career resume which is a 1/2 'essay'
covering my career to date with a para/job.
