Books to learn Adobe InDesign

Check the Adobe site for lots of free tutorials, video and otherwise.
Also, there are PDFs of manuals that come with it that are quite good.
That's how I learned InDesign.

By the way, see if the company will upgrade to InDesign CS3.  It has
much better support for long documents than CS2.  CS3 is so good that
it's a serious contender as a tech. writing authoring system.  It's also
rapidly displacing other publishing tools in the book and magazine
publishing world.  If you're XML literate and know something about
scripting and publishing, it can even make a dandy formatting engine for
XML files.  I've been playing with getting DITA and Docbook files in and
out of the system.
