To all you Punctuation Avatars,

Thanx for responding to my question, it looks like we've also started a
mini (friendly) debate both on and off the list.

'Not sure what we'll decide yet, but as usual, I've learned something
new about the English language (plus Spanish and French, for good
measure)

I replied to some of the O/L folks about not using a comma at all. Some
take issue with the compound punctuation of an end quote plus a comma. I
could go either way.

Keep'em coming O/L, unless you think we all could benefit from the info,
then by all means.....

It'll help drown-out some of the banjo music

I can't get the theme from "Deliverance" out of my head now --
cancelling my rafting trip. <grin>

Blessings,

Darren

Subject: Quotes/Comma question

Please help settle a debate. Is it correct to follow quotation marks

with either a comma or a semi colon?

example:

When the Test Path screen appears, type "C:\Applications\test

programs\TS3.exe", then select NEXT.

TIA
