Is this hackneyed or cliche?

Sometimes I think that these creative ideas are best presented as a web
page, but the resume and cover letter should be traditional. Then there's
me. When I am sending many resumes and I don't really concern myself with
what kind of response I will get from certain employers, I will send
something creative to see what kind of response I get. For about a day or
two, I had one of my "creative" cover letters on Monster instead of a
resume. It was a story about a fictitional manager trying to figure out
what do when she was told that her department needed to provide
documentation. I got responses that referred to me with the fictitional
character's name eventhough my name was available. The reader didn't have a
clue that I wrote a story. I changed to a traditional resume.

This thread has me thinking --

what would my resume look like in the format of a Process Overview and
Detailed Work Instructions?

If I was an employer looking for somebody to write those monsters, I'd
certainly take a look.

Of course, the standard resume format would be attached as a supporting
document.
