Eric, blogs and wikis are not "off topic." Tech writing is a changing field,
and these technologies are in wide use among our practitioners. 

The STC has become actively interested in these technologies and how we are
using them. They are frequently the subject of STC-sponsored programs,
seminars, and conference presentations. Three outstanding STC members just
published a great book on the subject. (Congrats, Char!) See

corporate blogging. 

If employers are adopting these practices, won't it help us all to know more
about them?

This vibrant list, more than any other I know, covers a wide range of
beneficial topics. Why apply tunnel vision to the discussion?
