Another Word guru question

Actually, Allan, although I respect Dori's choice of solution, I shy away from doing anything manual to solve the problem. Manual fixes usually get stripped out when files are repurposed. In fact, the document I'm working on will be run through a help-generating tool. I have not been asked to work with it, and I don't know what it is.
If the white graphic is removed at conversion, not only would "continued" make no sense in an online topic that does not use page breaks, but it would appear at the first instance of the table, leading the user to wonder where the rest of the table was.
That is way I pursue the question of whether it can be automated, as it is in Frame. From the responses I've received, evidently there is no Word equivalent.
