What's what with LCD resolution and aspect?

It's more likely that whichever teen-aged sales rep set the systems up
didn't choose the correct resolution for the displays. As long as you
set the monitor to run in its native resolution, it will show
everything correctly (i.e. circles as circles).

I run a wide screen Dell 24" at home beside an old 18" NEC that's 4:3
aspect ratio. Both display things correctly as long as I set the
resolutions right.
