Old power supplies can still be employed if your tower case
will accomodate more than one.  Mine does, and while I have
a new 550W supply connected to my monster quad core
server board, an old, otherwise outdated 350W drive sits in 
the other power supply bay and is running the drives, case
cooling fans and other incidental peripherals that come with
Molex power connectors.
