There is a setting in Word 2000 that lets you define the number of spaces
after a period, 0, 1, or 2.
Tools > Options > Spelling and Grammar > Settings > Require > Spaces
Required Between Sentences >
The selection box is 'normally' displaying 'don't check'.
Click on the arrow.
Make your selection.
Click on OK
Click OK.
There, the spacing is set to the number of spaces 1 or 2, or don't check.
One of these is the English way, the other is the American way. I don't
rember which. I have mine set to 20 for readabilit is i got to an 8-point
font.
