QA vs QC (was This too is technical communication)

Not surprising, since the quality profession (ASQM) is also still fighting the good fight over "QA" and "QM" versus "QC" (trying to inspect quality into a product at the end of the production line).  Hurrah, we are heroes and transformational change agents for Good, yahoo.

I don't know if I'm reassured to know that I have so much company in this situation -- or if that fact breaks my heart.  I don't want to talk about this any more today.  It gives me a headache and makes me cranky.
