   How about "ordered list"? Then, when you have one that you want to
save, it would be "save an ordered list".

Thank you for your help, though it's not quite the right word, I think.

A query is when you search and filter the results by criteria. A sort is
when you put all the data in a specific order and save the order, though
not
the data.

It may be called query in database terms, but if I use that here, I'm
going
to have confused users, since query to them means to ask and get a more
specific answer.
