Yes, too much, and from my experience, it's more
important to educate kids to be graspers and recognize
that not all will reap that benefit, but that those
who do will be more flexible. Look at what we're all
complaining about here: inflexible bosses, people who
recognize only skillsets on a resume or experience or
college degrees, and the like. We don't like the
inflexible, rigid outlook that comes of educating us
all as clones who need to be programmed with overly
formalized doctrine to accomplish simple tasks.

I'm in agreement that technical writing is as much a
mindset as a skill. You have to want to help people
use technology to make their lives better. That's the
only reason I do it instead of more lucrative
development jobs. It's the same reason many of my
heroes in life chose to teach school or work in soup
kitchens. Maybe it's a fragmentary form of love.
