As Peter noted, Techwr-l's archive search is broken. This appears to be
operator error, judging from the note on the search page:
"Note:The archive search index was last rebuilt at [has yet to be built
for this new list]. Any postings after that will not be found by a
search. Index rebuild is usally done once every 24 hours for this list.
You can use a "View by date" link below to access more recent postings."
So there is apparently no index, and therefore no search, for the "new"
(since Nov. 2005) list.
But you can search the archives with Google, using the proper syntax. In
the search string box, enter:
<search string> site:techwr-l.com
Notice there is no space after the colon. To limit the search to the
"new" archives:
<search string> site:lists.techwr-l.com
