"Appears" vs. "will appear"

I like "is displayed" instead of "appears" or "displays". My reasoning is 
that the window, pane, frame, what-have-you, is displayed by the computer 
application. I consider the last four words to be the same as "you" in 
second-person imperative statements; it doesn't have to be said because 
it's already implied.
