True, in a way, about corporations fudging the figures. When I worked at Microsoft in the '80s, the HR department included a figure for the cost of benefits and other costs (office space, equipment, etc.) in the salary figure when comparing to other companies. Surprise--Microsoft salaries always came out ahead.
