Re-upping STC membership?

Here in the UK the ISTC periodically do a salary survey, probably limited due to a relatively small membership. However, one they did a few years ago was interesting as the salary not only included not only what you earned and where but also asked what industry you worked in, length of time I profession, qualification, what you did etc.

What that gave was something along the lines of, for area A:
	Average = £x;  contract - £x1/day
	Average - s/w = £y;  contract - £y1/day
	Average - online help - £z;  contract - £z1/day
	Average - aeronautics = £a;  contract - £a1/day
	Average - education = £b;  contract - £b1/day
	Etc

It also gave the average salary for x years experience, BSc/MA etc

This was, even allowing for any inflation in the figures, very useful as it was much more focused and allowed you to get a better feel for what it would be for yourself in the area you lived, industry you were in etc.
