Salary Negotiations - was STC Salary data collection

I noticed that the STC Salary data collection thread has moved into the area
of Salary Negotiations for Technical Writers. I would like to find someone
(or small group of writers) with experience who is/are willing to write and
post a column or series of articles to www.elephant.org.il on Salary and
Freelance Rate Negotiations. 
 
The elephant site is connected with a technical/marcom writers organization
in Israel. The site gets 3,000+ unique IDs/month, most of which are from
within Israel (according to Alexa.com). Even though elephant is an Israeli
site I think that most of the topics related to salary negotiations are the
same everywhere, only the specifics of tax-incentive for benefits that you
can negotiate for differ. The type of topics that I would like to see
covered in articles are:
 
* How to prepare for salary/rate negotiations
* What is a pricing policy (for freelancers)
* How to implement a pricing policy and how flexible to be during
negotiations (for freelancers)
* Advantages and disadvantages of changing jobs
* How to ask for a raise without burning bridges
* How to evaluate nonmonetary benefits
