Clickable Links in a PDF

This makes no difference at all, assuming that "Click Here" is a valid
link -- that is, in Word, you used the Insert Hyperlink command, set
Text to display to "Click Here," and entered or browsed to a valid
destination for the link.

I assume what you call the "PDF creation function in Word" is PDFMaker,
which is the MS Office plugin/macro that's installed by the Acrobat
installation process (if it finds MS Office). 

You should have an "Adobe PDF" menu on the menu bar (to the right of
Help). It has commands for converting to PDF and for configuring the
conversion settings.

Select Adobe PDF > Change Conversion Settings. In the Acrobat PDFMaker
dialog box, on the Settings tab, make sure Add links to Adobe PDF is
checked. 

You might want to explore some of the other settings and options in this
dialog box. You'll have to poke around a bit in the Help file for
relevant information. The topic "Creating Adobe PDF Files Using
PDFMaker" is a good place to start.

I assume "Word 2000" was a typo, and you're still talking about Word
2003. The PDF buttons are the PDFMaker toolbar. Right-click on an empty
portion of the toolbar area, and you should see "PDFMaker 6.0" somewhere
toward the bottom of the long list of toolbars you can show and hide. 

The PDFMaker functionality is the only way to convert Word hyperlinks
into live links in the PDF. If you use the File > Print command and
choose Adobe PDF as the printer, you won't get active hyperlinks (or
bookmarks, or several other features available through PDFMaker.
