Clickable Links in a PDF

I don't recall the exact procedure for earlier versions of Acrobat, but in version 8.x, the following works:



Open Acrobat

Select Edit > Preferences

In the Preferences window, select "Convert to PDF"

In the Converting to PDF scrolling field, select "Microsoft Office Word"

Click the Edit button

In the Acrobat Settings for Supported Document window, ensure the "Add links to Acrobat PDF File" option is checked

Perform the clicking ok step a couple of times

I tried doing that - the link opens in Word but not in the PDF. In the
PDF, when I put the hand cursor over the link and click, nothing
happens.  I have no idea why it's not working.

1. In Word: From the Insert menu, select Hyperlink.
2. In the Text to Display field, type "Click here."
3. In the Address field, type the Web link, and then click OK.
4. Create a PDF from the document.
