We use "dialog box" for items that have choices
to be made in them followed by clicking OK or
the like.

Neither :-> We avoid this term altogether. Usually
when you're recommending something you're really
telling the reader to do it so be brave and just
say so! Where possible, you should also indicate
*why* you're advising the course of action, for
example, "Set this limit to over 500 Mbytes for
better performance"
