Software engineer tech. writers? Do they exist?

Engineers who write is nothing that extraordinary. While being more of
an editor than a tech writer, I'm an electrical engineer (UW-Madison
grad, plus a few other things) and don't find writing/editing to be
anything especially difficult.
But most assuredly, there are a helluva lot more English majors than
those from engineering or the sciences doing tech writing.
