Right. These are not classified roles at all. In fact, a comment
toward the end of the article mentioned that people opted for these
roles *because* they could open their research to peers for feedback,
something they wouldn't be able to do if classified.
Honestly, that extent of background check is overkill, especially in
the name of a mandate that simply required new ID badges.
